While they serve a large domestic market, they also serve customers in the U.S.. It operates from Canada pharmacy serve a variety of prescription medication to medication to control blood pressure.

It can be understood that the prescriptions given by physicians of Canada for Canadian patients, then what about patients across the border who are in the United States?.
In many cases, a Canadian doctor rewrite the recipe given by its U.S. partner, so make the whole process of filing out the legal process. In the case of a pharmacy without a license, no one interfere with, the prescription is not required that only needed is the name of the drug and they will send the drug. Omission of some basic business ethics by certain companies has led to this dispensary came under the scanner authorities in both the U.S. and Canada.

In the U.S., concerns have been raised over the risk to patients from the sale of counterfeit drugs. This medication may contain inert components, which can cause significant damage to the body of consumers. In a few cases have been found illegal drugs also passed their expiry date are diverted to unauthorized retailers to be sold on the internet. Cases of illegal Canada drugs is now more prevalent

If you can install your own toilet then you can choose what toilet best suits your needs, as there is a very big variety in style, price, and quality of toilets. Installing your own toilet is not as big a question as you might think it is. Learn how you can install a toilet yourself. You can have your new model toilet in place in just a few hours. Probably even much less time than that.

The first thing you need to do is pick out the toilet that you prefer to have. If you are older or have health problems, consider a handicap height toilet. They are a couple of inches taller than a standard toilet and make it much easier to get up from. If you have a lot of usage than a pressure assisted toilet might also be a good fit for you. The extra water pressure will help to keep the toilet from clogging. Toilets usually come without a seat, so don’t forget to buy a new one or you can save the one from your previous toilet if it will fit the bowl of the new one.

The floor does not have to be spotless before installing the new toilet, but it should be fairly clean. You will next need to install the tank onto the bowl. Set the bolts with the rubber washers on them in the holes on the tank and then set the tank on the back of the toilet bowl. Tighten the bolts gently, just expanding the washers a bit.

Next, turn the toilet bowl upside down and place an new wax ring and sleeve onto the toilet horn. The toilet bowl wax gasket works best if it is at room temperature. This will ensure the proper forming of seal. Now stand directly over the toilet and lift it turning it over and setting it down over the bolts in the flange. By doing this you will place the toilet on top of the wax ring. The bolts will come up through the holes on the side of the toilet.

Install the washers over the bolts and slowly tighten the nuts until snug, while slowly pressing down until the toilet is seated flush with the floor. Make certain that the bolts are tight enough to prevent the toilet from rocking, however do not over-tighten them. Tightening the bolts too much will cause the toilet which is porcelain, to crack. Now, reconnect the water line from the floor to the tank. To give it a nice finished look a bead of silicone caulk can be run around the base of the toilet. Remember that he caulk will be visible, so choose a color that looks good with your toilet for a professional look.

Installing your own toilet can be just that easy. In an afternoon your can pick out your new toilet, remove your old one, install your new one and have it up and flushing in no time at all! Then last of all, check for leaks!! Don’t be embarrassed if you find a leak, retighten and check again. Even a pro will have a leak sometimes. Leaks happen! Good Luck!

Since most of us have eliminated the outhouse as an option (no pun intended), when our toilets don’t work things can get ugly in a hurry. The good news is that unclogging a clogged toilet is something anyone can learn to do.

There are a lot of different shapes and styles of toilets but, with a few exceptions, they all work about the same. Water is released from the tank (many commercial toilets use a special valve instead of a tank) into the bowl to flush the waste into your drainage piping. Basically pretty simple, right?

The two main problems that happen with toilets are the toilet running (the water not shutting off after flushing) and the toilet bowl plugged (not draining or stopped up). While a running toilet wastes water and can be annoying, if you have a toilet bowl plugged it’s a little more urgent. On a scale of 1 to 10, maybe a 12! In fact, one Google search term study calls most people’s #1 plumbing problem a plugged toilet.

Anyone can learn how to unclog a toilet. It just takes a little patience and the right tools. The first thing you need to fix a plugged toilet is a toilet plunger. These are a little different from a sink plunger, which is looks sort of like a rubber bowl on a stick.

A toilet plunger is designed specifically to direct the force into the waste outlet of the plugged toilet bowl. The business end of a toilet plunger looks sort of like a ball with an opening to fit into the waste outlet of the toilet. One type that is very effective has an accordion like design and is all plastic, including the handle.

The way a toilet plunger works is by filling up with water and then pushing that water through the stopped up drain. When unclogging a clogged toilet, the idea is to plunge up and down a couple of times so the plunger fills with water and then jam the open end, sometimes called a force cone, into the waste outlet in the plugged toilet and start plunging. You may have to pump the plunger up and down several times to clear the blockage.

When you are learning how to unclog a toilet you may need to be fairly aggressive with the plunger. The key is to force the water in the plunger through the waste outlet of the toilet, dislodging the blockage in the process. If you don’t splash a little out of the bowl you probably aren’t plunging hard enough. Ever wonder why plumbers charge so much?

This will usually be all you need to do to fix a plugged toilet. Sometimes, however, a plunger just won’t do the trick. If you’ve plunged a while with no success you might need to try another approach. It’s time to pull out the closet auger.

A closet auger is a special tool that can be used to clear an especially stubborn plugged toilet. A closet auger has a short drain cable, or snake, inside a metal tube that is bent on the end to aim the cable into the waste outlet of a toilet bowl. The cable is just long enough to get through the toilet and is connected to a handle the same length. You can get one of these at your local hardware store for as little as $10.

The way to use a closet auger is to pull the handle all the way out, insert the business end into the outlet of the toilet bowl that’s plugged and crank it down into the bowl, making sure the cable goes into the drain. When the bowl drains, flush the toilet while you’re pulling the cable back to help clean the cable. It’s a good idea to flush some toilet paper through a couple of times before you put your auger away just to be sure.

With the growing focus on water conservation more and more communities are requiring toilets that use less water per flush. In spite of the best efforts of the toilet manufacturers to increase performance, this is likely to continue to make our most common plumbing problem a plugged toilet. So you might as well go ahead now and learn how to unclog a toilet yourself. You’ll be glad you did.

You can turn on a fan if the Air Conditioner breaks, bar-b-que if the stove shoots craps or hire the neighborhood kid if the mower stops, but one thing you absolutely can not do without is… a working toilet.

The easiest way to replace a broken toilet is to get in the Yellow Pages, call a plumber and pay him a $1000 to replace it. That will get you a standard water closet, as it’s professionally referred to, installed and the broken one put outside for the trash man. (maybe)

Although that’s probably a reasonable deal, you could do the same job yourself for about $200. Although I am a licensed plumber, you don’t have to be to perform this repair if you follow my easy to understand instructions. Ready?

First, let’s go to your neighborhood Home Depot, Lowes or whatever supplier around your home to buy supplies. As a caveat here, plumbing fixtures are a lot like a new car or truck. There’s the $10,000 base model or the $35,000 fully loaded model. We’ll stay with the base model.

Purchase a toilet, which comes with the commode and tank separately boxed, but priced together. Almost all new toilets come equipped with the internal parts of the tank assembled.

Purchase a wax ring, the type with the rubber flange attached, a toilet water supply line, being sure it’s a toilet and not sink water line. I recommend the flexible water lines over the chrome, plastic or copper water lines for ease of installation. Might as well buy a new toilet seat while you’re at it.

Removing the broken toilet. Here are the basic steps to removing the broken fixture.
1. Turn the water off at the stop valve located behind the toilet.
2. Once the water is shut off, flush the toilet letting it drain as much water out of the integral trap as possible. It doesn’t hurt to try flushing it twice.
3. Lift the top off the tank. Depending on the amount of water still in the tank either use a wet / dry vac or a sponge to remove it.
4. Unscrew the water supply line from the bottom of the tank. Have a rag handy because water will invariably still leak out no matter how good of a job you thought you did drying the tank.
5. Inside the tank are two bolts holding the tank on to the base. Unscrew these two bolts and carefully lift the tank from the base. Remove tank to the trash.
6.There are two, one on each side of the toilet, closet bolts which hold the toilet to the floor. If there are caps over the bolts, remove or pop them open. Using a small crescent wrench unscrew the nuts from the bolts. Alternate side to side when unscrewing, this will be much more important when reinstalling the bolts, but alternate anyhow.
7. Once the nuts and washers have been removed from the bolts, slowly rock the toilet base back and forth to break the seal loose. Once loose, lift toilet straight up until it clears the closet bolts. You now have the broken toilet completely removed.
8. There will be a closet flange and a hole, which is the sewer line, in the floor. Place a rag loosely into the sewer line to keep anything from falling into it and creating a clog later. Don’t lose the rag down it.
9. There will be a wax ring or residual of it stuck on the closet flange and pipe. Scrape all the wax off and wipe clean. It must be clean or risk the chance of a leak.
10. Place the toilet on its side and carefully unwrap the new wax ring you just purchased. Place the wax side against the toilet bottom where the sewer pipe and toilet will meet. Gently, but firmly press into place.
11. Lifting the toilet, and being careful not to hit the floor or anything else which could compromise the wax ring, place the toilet onto the closet bolts. Insuring the rubber flange goes down into the pipe, firmly push the toilet, with a slight rocking motion, down onto the floor.
12. Reinstall the washers and nut on the closet bolts and finger tighten. Sit on the toilet using your weight and a slight rocking motion to secure it to the floor by expanding the wax ring.
13. Using the small crescent wrench tighten the nuts on the closet bolts. Alternate sides using the same turns on each. Six turns on the right…six turns on the left…and so on until the toilet is secured tightly to the floor. Do not over tighten as you could break the base of the toilet ruining it.
14. Remove the tank from the box and secure it to the toilet base with the two bolts from inside the tank.
15. Replace the toilet water supply line with the new one. Turn on the water and allow the tank to fill with water, watching for any signs of a leak, which 99% of the time would come from the two bolts used to secure the tank to the toilet base or where the supply line connects to the toilet or the shutoff.
16. Flush toilet, again watching for any leaks.
17. Install the new toilet seat.
18. It’s not a bad idea, but not required on residential homes, to run a bead of caulking around the base of the toilet and the floor.

There you go. Finished. You paid @$200 for parts and a new toilet vs. $1000 for a plumber, a cool savings of $800.

Welcome to the future my friends where there are tons of different models and styles to choose from. They come in various heights and sizes and colors – oh my! Along with the variety comes different performance levels and water usage. This toilet selection guide will help you separate the choices you have when it comes to installing a new toilet in your home.

All toilets come in two flavors: the one piece toilet and two piece toilet. The one piece toilet come in one complete unit without any seams between the tank and bowl for easy cleaning. With a one piece toilet, you usually get the all the fixins’ in one package, like the toilet body, lid, seat, wax ring, bolts, and bolt caps. A benefit to the one piece is that you lessen the chance of leaks between the tank and the bowl. Two piece toilets feature a separate bowl and tank that are purchased together or individually, plus the seat is typically sold separate. The most common toilet in U.S. home is the two piece.

The toilet bowls themselves come in two shapes, either round front which is the most common or elongated. Round front bowls are good space savers for smaller bathrooms. Elongated bowls have an egg shape and considered more comfortable than round bowls, this is due to them being around 2″ longer, which give a longer seating area.

Some things to look for when picking out your perfect commode are whether it is has a sanitary bar. This bar keeps liquids from collecting beneath the bank at the back of the bowl, which makes it more sanitary. Keep an eye out for a bowl that has a larger trapway, which is the ceramic shoot on the back of the toilet bowl that your waste flows down. This is a common trouble spot for blockages and clogs and smaller trapways clog more often.

Companies like American Standard have a toilet called the Champion 4 which has the industries largest trapway at 2-3/8″ and can flush down a bucket of golf balls no problem. For those with limited mobility or for the elderly, there are toilets out there that conform to the Americans with Disabilities Act or ADA. These bowls are taller and allow for easier accessibility and if you need one of these latrines then look for the ADA logo in the product description.

Nearly all toilets have the same or nearly the same tank capacity, and I’m sure most of us guys have that number memorized from starting at the bowls our entire lives. The government regulates this one as well by with a limit of 1.6 gallons of water per flush.

When choosing a new toilet consider what kind of flushing system you want. What?! There’s more than one type of flushing system? Yes, there are single flush toilets, dual flush toilets and pressure assisted. (you know the ones on the airplane that are deafening.) Single flush toilets are what’s most common in the states and what we mostly have in our homes. Dual flush toilets are big in Europe and other countries for their water saving properties. They have two buttons, one for “Number 1″ and another for “Number 2″. The “Number 1″ button uses less water than the “Number 2″ button, which makes sense and helps conserve water. It’s a really good idea and if you have a little more money in your budget for a nice commode check out Caroma Two-Piece Toilets.

Toilet seats have also come a long way in the technology department. If you want to treat your derriere to a nice seat, there’s a few good options to choose from. Top of the line toilet seat have heated seats, heated water washes, heated air dryers and a wireless remote controls. The wireless remote option alone is worth it for me in the practical joke department! The price on these seats start around $270 and can reach upwards of $1400! Talk about sitting on your own personal throne!

As you can see, there are plenty of options in the porcelain god department and plenty of ways to spend your money. And if you’re looking for just a regular plain ol’ toilet and don’t care about any frills, you can find one for around $125 bucks. But remember you get what you pay for and the last thing you want is your toilet acting up at your daughter’s birthday party. It’s well-known that faucets and showers are fun to shop for and toilets always get a bad wrap. There’s no reason not to have fun shopping for a toilet and more important, enjoy your toilet. After all, it’s one (If not “The”) most important element in your home.

Showers and toilets are two of the biggest consumers of water.

According to a 2009 report released by the Environmental Protection Agency, the United States flushes over 4.8 million gallons of water per year and the average American flushes 9000 gallons of water per year. The report also stated that replacing flush toilets that use 3.5 gallons per flush with eco toilets that use 1.6 gallons per flush will result in a 34% savings in household water consumption.

There are a variety of different toilets that homeowners can install to reduce water consumption, save money, and save the environment. Many homeowners are choosing to install eco toilets such as the dual flush toilet to reduce water consumption.

The dual flush toilet works by providing the user with a half flush option and a full flush option on the same toilet. Typically a user would choose a half flush for urine and a full flush for feces. The half flush option only uses 0.79 gallons of water per flush, compared to the 1.6 gallons of water required for a full flush.

Many satisfied users report that the half flush is adequate for almost all flushing needs, and that the full flush is rarely needed. Experts suggest that a household can reduce household flush volumes by 68% using a dual flush toilet.

The composting toilet is gaining popularity around the world, and is just beginning to be introduced into American markets. Composting eco toilets work by using naturally-occurring bacteria to break down human waste into a usable compost material called humus.

The toilets do not use any water, are completely self contained, and all waste is collected and composted in the same unit. The toilets are carefully constructed with a special venting and air flow system to prevent unpleasant odors, bugs, and pests.

The composting toilet can even accommodate regular toilet tissue. A composting toilet is more expensive than a regular or dual flush toilet, and will require professional installation to ensure that the venting system is properly installed.

The squat toilet, although common in Eastern countries, is rarely used in the United States. These eco toilets are located flush to the ground, and the user must sit in squatted position to use the toilet.

The waste is removed by pouring water into the bowl with a hose or bucket. A squat toilet requires much less water than a conventional toilet, and many experts believe that it is more sanitary, as the buttocks and thighs do not come into contact with the toilet surface.

Besides matching colors and style with the rest of you bathroom or powder room, you will want to consider a few more points. Here are five easy steps for your next toilet installation.

(1) Roughing in specifications: This is the measurement from the wall to the center of the outlet. Typically they come in 10″, 12″ and 14″ sizes. The standard is 12″ but a measurement should be taken.

(2) Foot print of the toilet: If you are dealing with a remodel over an existing floor covering, you may want to reference a specification sheet for the area that the bottom of the toilet will cover. For new construction or a new flooring choice, it is also a good idea to have a reference so the flooring is close enough to the ring on the toilet flange.

(3) Toilet height: ADA toilets are not just being marketed to people who need them. The new term is “Comfort Height.” Taller people, older people and all other sorts are moving toward a taller toilet that you don’t have to go down as far to sit.

(4) Elongated/Round front: Elongated has a larger “target area” for the younger members of the family. Some drawbacks are that some people don’t like the looks and if the bathroom is smaller or even average size, the bowl may protrude to the point of being in the way.

Before you begin: observe all local plumbing and building codes. Carefully inspect the new toilet for damage. If the existing toilet does not have a supply shut-off value below the tank, install one before installing the new toilet.

Caution: risk of personal injury or product damage. Handle with care. Vitreous china can break or chip if the bolts and nuts are over tightened or if the product is handled carelessly.

Installation Instructions

Step 1: Remove the old toilet

Turn the water supply off. Flush the toilet, and sponge out any remaining water. Disconnect the water supply connection. Remove the old bolt caps, toilet, and T-bolts, and scrape off the old wax seal from the closet flange.

Insert new T-bolts. If installation of the new toilet is delayed, temporarily cover the closet flange hole with a rag.

Step 2: Install the new bowl

Record model number in Homeowner’s Guide. From the bottom of the bowl, firmly press a new wax seal around the bowl outlet. Remove the temporary rag (if used) from the closet flange.

Caution: risk of external leakage. Do not lift or rock the bowl after placement – if you break the watertight seal, you must install a new wax seal. Align and lower the bowl over the closet flange and T-bolts. Apply full body weight around the bowl rim to set the seal. Do not assemble metal washers and nuts on T-bolts at this time.

Please the bolt cap bases in the “up” position over each T-bolt. Secure the washer and nut to each T-bolt.

Caution: risk of product damage. When cutting off excess T-bolt length, protect the vitreous china surface from exposure to the saw blade.

If the T-bolts extend more than ¼” (6mm) over the nuts, cut off the excess. Snap the bolt caps onto each bolt cap base.

Step 3: Install the tank

With three tank bolts, pre-assembled through the gasket holes, position the tank on the bowl by centering the gasket on bowl inlet. Assemble the washers and nuts to the tank bolts. Tighten the three nuts so the tank is level. Be sure the nuts are tight enough to achieve a watertight seal.

Step 4: Connect the supply

Connect the supply shut-off valve to the toilet supply shank. Open the supply shut-off valve slowly and check for leaks. Install the toilet seat. Test flush the toilet several times. Periodically check for leaks for several days following installation.

Step 5: Adjustments

Adjust the tank water level to the marked water line by squeezing and sliding the C-clip on the float rod. To raise the water level, slide the C-clip up. To lower the water level, slide the C-clip down.

Installation Hints

The installation of a toilet is a very simple job and you need very few products in addition to what is in the box(s); but here are some things that should be replaced while in the area.

Wax ring: Inexpensive and a good idea to replace, even if you are taking the toilet off and putting it back on to the same flange. Note: The horned rings are easier to line up and help prevent leaks.

Toilet bolts: Also inexpensive; however you do not need to replace these unless you had to cut the old ones off. The brass does become corroded and hard to manage. Note: Give the plastic models a try. Plumbers give them great reviews.

Supply line: While you are working in the area, supply lines can vary from toilet to toilet and can become old and cracked. Replace, and save a possible headache down the road. Note: The braided lines work very well. They are flexible and add a neat look to the room.

Take a dry run at the installation. If the bowl and tank are not connected yet, set the bowl in place. Make sure the footprint covers the exposed area of the floor and it does not wobble excessively. When installing a two-piece toilet, after you have set the bowl down, set the tank on top to make sure you have proper clearance behind the bowl, and on all sides.

Note: Write the tank and bowl number on the underside of the tank lid for future reference.

If you are unsure of your workmanship and you think you might have some leaks, shut the water off after filling the tank. If there is a leak, you will only have one tank of water on the floor instead of an endless supply. When installing a two-piece toilet, you may connect the tank to the bowl prior to setting the toilet. When it is in two pieces, it is lighter and easier to move around. However, connecting the tank to the bowl is much easier when the bowl is not bolted to the floor. Remember to tighten the tank bolts evenly.

Make sure the bolt cap anchors are on BEFORE you put the nuts on the toilet bolts. If the caps do not fit on the anchor, or if the bolts seem to long, cut them off.

Lastly, if you are unsure of your workmanship and you think you might have some leaks, shut the water off after filling the tank. If there is a leak, you will only have one tank of water on the floor instead of the endless supply.

Camping toilets can enhance our camping experience a lot. As in other areas in our lives the small things are those that count and the same can be said for camping toilets. Most camping toilet facilities that are available in camp sites, are usually poorly maintained and not very clean. Although, when camping, it is understandable that you’re not going to be able to keep your personal hygiene levels like you can at home but a certain minimum is also required when camping.

This is where portable camping toilets come into play since they enable us to avoid the usage of dirty toilet seats thus reducing our exposure to potential pathogen bacteria that reside on uncleaned toilet seats. If you do not have access to your own camping toilet and you are “forced” to use a toilet facility, you do not need to panic since there’s a small chance of you contracting a harmful virus or bacteria from a dirty toilet seat. These toilets also prove themselves to be their moneys worth, when we need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Unless you are really brave, most people find it difficult to get to the toilet facility in the middle of the night. You never know, what can happen in a lightless camping area. This is why having a camping toilet can be a very clever idea.

There are two main types of camping toilets, simple and complex. Simpler (in design) camping toilets are generally made of a light metal frame with a seat that has a hole in the middle – they are almost identical to a foldable chair except they have a hole in the middle of the seat. Usually these kind of types require you to also have some bags in which you can capture the feces. One of the main concerns with using these type of toilets is that the bags for containing the poop are made out of plastic which is not nature friendly. In recent times we have seen the arrival of biodegradable bags, which help reduce our impact on the nature. The main advantage for these type of camping toilets is their price. Because their design is not that complicated, they are easy to be produced and thus the price is lower.

On the other hand we have bulkier, more complex camping toilets, that are more robust and can be used for a number of times before emptying them since they have a large storing tank for the waste. Some of them also have a water storage tank which enables us to flush the poop in a manner a lot similar to our home toilets. These types of camping toilets are in most cases bulky in design which increases their size and weight thus rendering them a bit less portable. They are best suited for people that are not willing to change the waste bag every time they need to go to use the toilet and are not willing to carry a camping toilet with them on a hike. Since these types of camping toilets are more complicated in design they cost a bit more.

When using these types of camping toilets we need to use different liquid or powder agents that liquefy and neutralize the produced waste. More often than not these solving and odor neutralizing agents are harmful to the environment. Nonetheless it is possible to find these agents that are environment friendly, you just have to look for them. The main advantage of these type of camping toilets is their capacity and versatility. Complex camping toilets can hold a lot of waste, which means no need for frequent emptying and they can be used almost anywhere. You can place them in a caravan, they can serve you as a back up toilet in the house for emergencies, etc.

Either way you choose you can’t go wrong. Both of the described types of camping toilets are far superior compared to the dirty camping toilet facilities. So if you want to have an even better camping experience, then be sure to get your hands on a camping toilet.

When choosing a toilet for your bathroom, there are factors that you must consider to achieve the design, theme, and functionality that you want. The size, height and purpose should take part in your selection. What most people would look for initially is the appearance of the toilet. Unfortunately, you should not rely on it alone. There are other aspects that should come into play so that your toilet fits you and your family’s needs.

Even if there’s a wide array of toilet selection in the market it is still easy to narrow down the choices. By determining the distance between your bathroom’s wall and the middle of the drain meant for your toilet, you can easily pinpoint the right toilet for your bathroom. Upon renovating your bathroom you have utilized the current rough-in distance that is in another measurement, you can narrow down your selection some more.

An elongated toilet is a popular choice among many homeowners but when your bathroom’s space is limited, a round bowl is more appropriate for it. A round bowl can also save you some cost since it is cheaper than the elongated version. The height of your toilet should also be comfortable enough for anybody who is going to use it. There are already plenty of toilet heights other than the traditional 14-inch fixture available in the market today. Taller toilets are essential components in general design, which gives your bathroom accessibility to all sorts of users, because sitting down and standing up from a taller toilet is much more comfortable.

When it comes to style, there are also plenty of toilet designs to choose from. If you want a cheaper version, a two-piece toilet that features a tank that sits on top of the bowl would be a better choice. A one-piece toilet, with the tank and bowl attached together, is more expensive but the seamless design makes it easier to remove the dirt and mildew. There are also wall-mounted toilet designs that can lend a dramatic appearance to your bathroom. Cleaning this kind of toilet is also not a problem. But because this is considered a high-end fixture, the installation will cost you more since you will need a thicker wall to set up the toilet and accommodate the tank. And fixing the toilet in the future may require you to open up your wall again.

Just like any products in the market, some toilets boast of better functionality than their counterparts. The latest technology has also found its way to a number of toilet designs. Their flushing abilities have shown significant improvements over the years. If you want the latest innovation in flushing, you should make a trip to a showroom and inquire about it through their salesperson. He would be able to introduce to you the latest products in the market that feature cutting edge technology. If you are into water conservation, you can choose a toilet with a dual-flush design.

If you constantly have to remind other users in your house to put the seat down after every use, a soft-closing toilet seat will definitely put an end to your misery. This kind of toilet seat closes itself after use and puts a stop to slamming. A heated toilet seat is also a great add-on that is not heavy on the budget. Although, they don’t really make a huge difference when it comes to functionality and necessity, but they can make your bathroom look nicer and more exciting to use.

Lately, more and more people have become inquisitive about the advantages of installing a compost toilet. Composting toilets are mainly considered as environment friendly. They help in water conservation. They also help in reducing groundwater pollution because they do not release waste materials as in sewage. By switching to composting toilets, one can avoid the maintenance of septic systems and sewers.

The compost created by the compost toilet is beneficial to the environment as the process is entirely organic in nature. There are different types and models of composting toilets available in the market. Many manufacturers have introduced newer and better functioning toilets that are both attractive as well as comfortable. Different toilets have different features. Mainly these toilets can be classified into two different types – split and self-contained.

If you are having a small home, a self-contained composting toilet would suffice your needs. It is quite easy to install this kind of toilets. You can also easily remove it if you feel like having a change in future. Further, these toilets are divided into two different categories – electric and non-electric composting toilets. If you are opting for an electronic version, it might cost you a big high but the facility will help you in maintaining the moisture levels inside the compost chamber. Although they are costlier than non-electric self-contained composting toilets, they are still cheaper than split composting models.

Even though self-contained toilets are smaller in size and comfortable, certain models may not be recommended for frequent use. In other words, it is fit to be used by a single individual. Also they require more maintenance and monitoring so as to keep the compost levels in balance. This is one of the disadvantages of installing a self-contained toilet. But there are advanced electric models in this category that can compensate all sorts of issues.

Split composting toilets, also known as remote composting models would be a better alternative if you are have lot of members using the toilets. In case of a split model, the compost chamber is built in a remote region of the house. This is the reason why it is known as remote composting toilet. Usually, the chamber is built in the basement area directly underneath the toilet. And the toilet looks almost similar to your regular flush model. With all these features, obviously the model costs a bit more than a self-contained toilet. Further, the installing would cost a reasonably additional amount. Since the compost chamber is built in a remote part, the amount of plumbing work required would also be more.

Nevertheless, you can save on your water bills and sewage maintenance charges by installing a composting toilet. Apart from that, you can create biogas using the compost. The compost can also be used as a powerful organic fertilizer for the plants and trees in your compound. Thus, as an environmentalist, you can be proud of yourself.
